Cumbuco beach originally was a fisherman's village, but within the last decade has become a convergence point of national and international tourism.
The Climate conditions are excellent for the practice of water sports such as kitesurfing and windsurfing and there is a good infrastructure of bars and restaurants that serve different sectors. There is also a very special location, the Cauipe lagoon, with shallow and flat waters, 7km away from Cumbuco.
It's ideal for beginning practice of kitesurfing or advanced try-outs of new techniques. Going up North, there is Paracuru beach, which is 70km from Fortaleza and 60 km from Cumbuco. It is known for the wave kitesurfing on the (Out-side).
There's a seafood restaurant right on the beach. Paracuru is a known as the best sport in Brazil for wave kitesurfing.
