The Dominican Republic is famous for its trade winds, warm waters and friendly way of life which make it the ideal location for beginner, intermediate and advanced kitesurfers to learn and develop their skills. You will be taught by qualified instructors with a wealth of knowledge and kitesurfing experience, who love what they do and can't wait to teach more people how to kitesurf.
Whether you're a complete beginner or have lots of experience, you will fit right in on our courses which are designed to improve your skills and confidence, both with a kite and on the board. Instruction takes place in small groups and you will be encouraged to develop at your own pace, with constant support and advice from our team of knowledgeable instructors. Completing International Kiteboarding Organisation (IKO) levels as you progress will help you measure your development and provide you with tangible recognition of your achievements in Cabarete.
When you're not busy battling the winds on the beach, you are free to explore your new surroundings, get involved in some other watersports (surfing anyone?) or just get stuck in to that laid back lifestyle which the Caribbean is all about!
Courses last from 1-6 weeks so this trip could form part of a long adventure holiday in the Caribbean, or start off your gap year or career break in style! If you take to kitesurfing quite quickly and are able to stay for 6 weeks you might want to think about completing an assistant instructor course - make a new life from your new favourite sport!
