The level 1 instructor kitesurf course is designed to give a fast track into the industry. You will either do a week, three weeks or five weeks of training prior to sitting the one week Instructor Course. That all depends on what level kitesurfer you are when you start the course.

The instructor program covers - wind knowledge, location assessment, equipment set-up, launching and landing, safety procedures, boat safety, riding upwind and downwind, turns, switch riding and jumps, weather systems, basic meteorology (local and U.K. ), equipment advice on your first purchase, first aid, basic teaching techniques, student safety management. You will receive at the start of the courses the IKO Kiteboarders Work Book, IKO Kiteboarding Vision book and an Assistant Manual. Upon completion of the course you'll receive an IKO Kiteboarders Card, Assistant Instructor Diploma, First Aid diploma, IKO Id. number. The full instructor program additionally includes teaching methodology and work experience working alongside active instructors. There is no guarantee that you will pass the Instructor program.
