Lycian Activity Week
The stunning landscape of Lycian Turkey - coast, canyons, rivers and mountains - is an ideal location for high-adrenaline fun! This trip is designed for the active and easily-bored, and the week kicks off with a thrilling white-water rafting expedition on the Dalaman river. Then we travel on to Kas from where we enjoy a full day of canyoning, a mountain bike descent from the mountains to the coast, a day sea-kayaking over a sunken city, plus one free day with Scuba diving and paragliding available for both beginners and the qualified.

Local Payment

Day 1 - Fly to Dalaman, transfer to Dalyan.
Day 2 - White-water rafting on Dalaman River, best in southern Turkey.
Day 3 - Picture postcard walk below Akdag Mountains en route to Kas.
Day 4 - Full day sea kayaking, exploring sunken city at Kekova Island and castle at Simena.
Day 5 - Full day canyoning - various canyons used through the season.
Day 6 - Free day Kas, optional scuba diving, paragliding or relaxation. Certified divers can take 1 or 2 guided boat dives, while beginners can take the 'Discover Scuba' course.
Day 7 - Mountain biking day; drive up into hills and take mostly downhill trail back to Kas; night on the town in Kas.
Day 8 - Transfer to Dalaman, fly to London.
Essential Equipment
Boots that provide ankle support for the canyoning day, comfortable walking boots or trekking trainers; warm sweater and / or jacket for April, May and September departures; swimming costume, sun-cream, lip protection, sun-hat, sunglasses with neck string, day pack (approx. 30 litres), cycling gloves, clothes that you do not mind getting wet. Recommended: light waterproofs; disposable waterproof camera and a beach towel. |

7 Nights in hotel.
Standard Hotel, Lodge – no-frills hotel, usually with twin rooms and en suite facilities. Service and amenities are generally adequate.
All accommodation is booked on a twin share basis unless a single supplement has been requested and paid for. The hotel in Dalyan is small and clean with friendly staff. All rooms are en suite.
We use a 2-star hotel in Kas, all the rooms are air-conditioned and have en-suite facilities.
Single Accommodation single rooms are available at a supplement of £120 and should be requested at time of booking. |
